Kind

from $149.00

The Icelandic sheep is one of my favourite subjects to photograph in Iceland. They’re always ready with some unexpected candid pose and they have so much character. Culturally, the sheep has played an important role in Iceland, both in agriculture and for clothing. This includes the beloved Icelandic Sweater which I wear on most of my adventures - always hand knitted by my mom.

“Kind" is actually the Icelandic word for sheep - and the English meaning “to be kind” resonates with this image. It serves as a reminder to be kind to ourselves and to others. Sometimes that means going low to the ground - or simply burying your head between some lava ;-)

Print Info:

The print sizes have been tailored to ease the usage of standard frames, with or without mat. The prints might have a small overlap when using standard frames, which is to ensure there are no gaps when using off-the shelf frames. However keep in mind that custom framing might be preferable to ensure the highest possible print experience.

Each print is produced to museum-standard, certified archival standards and is guaranteed for in excess of 100 years. All prints are carefully crafted and printed on one of the worlds best papers - Hahnemühle Photo Rag, which I have been printing on for over 5 years. The paper gives muted blacks with even colour reproduction, and excellent detail. The surface has minimal texture with a chalky smooth cotton feel which creates smooth colour gradients. It has a delicate surface, so we recommend extra care when handling.

Limited edition prints are accompanied by a digitally signed Certificate Of Authenticity, individually embossed & numbered, including edition information and providing limited edition provenance
